For some reason I mostly skipped this thread. Some interesting stories and advice here. I had the bad habit way before computers to share stories thru the mail and later to start albums with those stories and new ones on my computer.
My wife saved all the old letters and even old photos of both of us. Sadly all of our early photos were accidentally burned and those that were hid were stolen. The stories were in other paper folders and overlooked by the thieves. Most likely too stupid to know how to read!
I'm not one bit computer savvy and barely know how to turn mine on but I do write, save, and send those stories to forums like this. Only recently did I find out nothing on the internet is private so grandma may be reading about my own sexcapades with teen girls when I was learning as an experimenting skinny white boy.
I've also learned as I get older, most of those people I worried about finding out I was a pervert are long dead. Within reason my wife and I stopped worrying about what others think. Life has been good and even at our age we can't change.
I'd say if you find out something about others keep it to yourself or use it to your own perverted advantage carefully.
