Somehow I missed this!
I'll be the first to admit that I can't stand the Bellas. Don't care for the ring work, don't care for them on their staged reality show. I'd never trust a woman of Nikki Bella's skill level to properly pull off a dangerous move like a piledriver. And Nikki Bella being the 'longest reigning diva's champion in history' is a huge black mark on WWE for me. So I wasn't overly enthusiastic about a story where she was the star.
But I completely forgot about all that when I saw the images. There are a lot of wrestling stories on this site but it's a really special and very rare occurrence when we get one that has pictures to go along with it. So my dislike for Nikki Bella and her hippie sister aside, I loved that I was actually able to see all the action unfolding in the ring.
When you said former divas were going to be returning for their shot at Nikki, Layla and Aksana definitely weren't the first ones that came to mind. Probably not even the first ten that would come to mind. But once again, I didn't mind that when I actually saw them come out and face off against the Bellas.
Of course, I went from liking the story to LOVING the story upon the appearance of my Pale Princess Paige. And the fact that she fought off both of the Bellas and even ended up beating them was the icing on the cake (and Nikki's face apparently).
I'm excited that you said there was a more to come. But I understand that it may take a while for you to get to it. So know that I love how this turned out and think that it was a fantastic reading/viewing experience even without it being done yet.
