Just noticed this thread so I've had the great pleasure of viewing it without the pauses..
I have to say it ranks up as one of the all time threads on this forum. I think you are the UK's number 1 snapper!!!
I noticed that there are not many shots where the person seems to be looking at you, so I take it it's either at a distance or it's a sort of hip shot like on another you mentioned. I've done this myself and it's hard to get the right position unless you have a camera with high megapixels and take a larger area into the shot then crop it down to the subject. But then I find central focus can be an issue. I think we could do with some of your tips to get the best angles..
