Once it's fixed...
When you log back in, click the box that says 'Remember Me'. It leaves you logged in and you won't have this problem everytime Firefox or Chrome decides you need an update.
You can change the name of the bookmark to something harmless without changing the URL and you can still password-protect your computer without a problem.
