The painting party was very lively this year. It is a little difficult to shoot because it is on private property and permission must be obtained before taking photos. Photographers must be invited and in the past some have been asked to leave for violating the rules.
The parade was a little disjointed due to more than 1,000 cyclists showing up, not all of them member of the Solstice Cyclists group that hosts the riders. There were numerous bumps and spills during the many laps that the cyclists made. The event is growing in popularity which may be a problem in the future.

It's going to have to be original pics that keep this thread alive, as flickr and other sites aren't being mined (or aren't producing pics) like in the past. But I think the best stuff is still getting posted. Marginal web pics I can take or leave.
Anyway, Willie-t you have indeed been a stellar contributor this year. Many thanks for your efforts. When I get back to portland next week, I can get more of my own up. We're not dead yet, not till fall usually.
