Brighton - well, after a very unpromising deeply grey start with drizzle, things quickly warmed up nicely and soon a large group had gathered. Not as many folks as last year but then the weather was glorious last time round.

First thing you noticed after London was the relativley large number of women taking part. But from the off, there was something of an undercurrent, unlike 2014 where there was a party atmosphere all day.

The group who had been such stars during the fountain fun last time had the hump over something and were constantly see berating snappers for taking their picture. Maybe someone should explain the purpose of WNBR to them...

Lots of regulars missing, made up for by lots of new faces. The light was very difficult, even without the harsh glare of midday sun. I managed to get in a pretty good position as the riders assembled to leave The Level. Armed with the knowledge I gained last time round, I was able to get a prime spot. The riders tend to stop and start as the people further forward get into position and it gives you the chance of shooting quite a lot of the field.

Even to my fairly neutral eye, there were a lot of very attractive young women riding. Amusingly, many seemed to be wearing more/less every time I saw them A few started off in bikinis, went topless and later became enboldened to go the whole hog. It was a different world to London - you could be an entirely naked woman and not get mobbed by 100 pervs with point & shoots.

Also got a good deal more shots of them entering Old Steine, at that rest stop and leaving again. Went down to the beach once more but again lots of snappers were getting hassle for being pervs.

Took a load of snaps. Not sure how long it'll be before I get a significant amount online, or sort my London set in full. It felt like I didn't do very well with the camera but I always think that, so not sure. But anything worthwhile will appear, of couse.
