The turnout in London was much bigger than I was expecting, given the weather. But it also turned out a fair bit warmer than 17C too, with bits of sun at times.

Hyde Park was manic but it was better this time as the riders got painted up on much bigger open grass area opposite to last year.

I think the pushy pervs have shot themselves in the foot and many of the girls now ride at least partially covered. I also witnessed the incident mentioned above - I thought those three girls were going to be get crushed at one point. Madness

The rolling merge was a success, if success is judged by how quick the ride was. There were heading down The Mall before 5 today. I had a hunch that it would be a fast ride and decided not to head out into the course - wouldn't have been able to catch them anywhere, I don't think.

There was a much bigger men/women ratio than is normally the case, I think. There were also three finishes - Green Park, the bit of land where the ride ended last year and Wellington Arch. Am guessing from the speed they got round the course that there wasn't much in the way of stops for snaps out on the ride.

Not sure how I did with the camera. Got some at the gathering, the start, the riders coming down The Mall, a few of a group of fun young people who posed outside Buck House And a few in Green Park.

Have to say I quite enjoyed the day. Didn't see the famous Cristina this time, nor the librarians. But I did see a young lady on a unicyle
