The major danger of paying for a membership to create a new interactive story is that you run the risk of losing them if you don't keep paying. I'm not sure what happens to the stories if you revert back to the free membership. Further, any free interactive stories you have now could be in jeopardy of being removed along with any new ones if your membership lapses.

This is all just my paranoia talking, but for a site like writing.com that doesn't seem to care about its users, it could happen. Just something to think about.
