I tried to do the same thing with Camp Clearwater ENF. It barely gets updated and most of the story has turned out way too hardcore for my tastes. I've wanted to clean it up, or delete it entirely, but receive massive objection from the writers whenever I touch it.
I say there's nothing wrong with a fresh start, if it's too convoluted to add to anymore.
