Yes, who knows what's the "nature" they're trying to protect here, it's just pathetic. I'm not sure it comes from the town, most likely the prefect (department level). For the Tantra it was him barging in with bulldozers and boasting publicly about how great its nature protection deeds were.
Bah. OTOH, the new wood terrace looks a lot better than the plain old concrete. Speculation: maybe the Horizon will be next in line ?
