I would like to ask thou... have you actually talked to her about doing it for real, rather than "well - someday we'll get sooooo drunk and horny, it'll happen"?
Reason being: someone could be upset or feel guilty. After a recent swinging/etc. My wife wants us to talk even more - make sure everyone is happy. She thought I was upset (for some reason - drinking), so I told her when drunk didn't sink in until later, when sober. I was good. But you see, she had a bit of feeling "guilty" because she came with having sex with someone else - I didn't (whisky dick and other factors). So after all these years of being together - I had to be honest and reaffirm that I don't need to cum, to have fun (while preferred) as we all have fingers, mouths and toys to play with.
I've been in the kinky/swing life style 10 years ahead of her... sure I'll always want to play around with cutie/hottie - and better yet, share her with my wife. But in the end, my wife is the one I trust and look out first.

So, with your wife (and anyone else here) in which both of you are getting turned on by the thought of having sex with others; to swing or poly requires Communication of your feelings and concerns, honesty, communication, trust, love, safety and finally... communication. Even watch the stupid movie "50 shades of grey" which is mommy porn. And put it in writing "I will not be mad if/when you suck and/or fuck another penis or vagina."
There's a reason why many older folks DO start swinging... you only having sex with ONE person... for decades?! First, we didn't used to live so long and second, its in our nature in general to fuck around a lot.
I was recently talking with a 19yr old and her 25yr old friend (they were friends of a friend) and I was giving the 19yr advice in which her older friend was agreeing. I said things like: don't fall in love easy... date around, get laid on your terms. Look out for creepers and those who date-**** drug (I showed her how to hold her drink cups at parties and clubs) and to dump control freaks.
