If she tried to tell you... where is the text message or voice mail?
There has been times when there is a failed text message from time to time... and I'd show my wife my phone and it'll show an outgoing message, date-stamped, etc. Nothing as big a deal as this.
Perhaps, you'll need to have a sit down with your wife and your neighbors. That the lack of trust is becoming...very uncool.
