Sheriff’s Office: Woman arrested after walking around naked in hotel because a ‘friend stole her pants’

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies Tuesday arrested a 29-year-old woman accused of walking through a hotel naked and refusing to leave when confronted by a manager.

Laura Mistretta told a deputy she was walking around naked in a hallway at the Crestwood Suites, 5222 Sherwood Blvd., because a friend had stolen her pants.

Mistretta first ran afoul of a hotel guest in a hallway who said he was offended by her appearance. As he walked away from her, he said she started to yell at him, according to an arrest report. The guest reported the incident to the hotel manager, who asked Mistretta to leave.

The manager told investigators that Mistretta became irate and called her “every name in the book.” Mistretta then ran down a hallway, but later came to the lobby and started to call the manager names.

Customers and hotel employees gathered in the lobby to watch the exchange as Mistretta again refused to leave, deputies said.

Mistretta, 30295 Sunset Lane, Walker, was booked Tuesday into Parish Prison on counts of obscenity, disturbing the peace and entry on or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden. She posted a $10,000 bail and was released Wednesday.
