I would also like to add, that goes for both parties. A general rule, at least with me and many others I know. Is that you DON'T lie to a 3rd party... the person you want to play with. ie: Every woman I touched sexually or had sex with, KNOWS I have a wife. Some are old friends, some are new.
For the new ones, I think its more of a turn on and easier to have sex with because (A) you're not looking to be serious with them (B) that you are honest with your status and that your wife is cool about it... especially when you offer to or actually introduce them to your wife.
So yeah, if I am hitting or flirting on a woman, I will talk about my wife casually as she is a very important person in my life.
