Thanks for the great and detailed post. As for back stories I feel they are important most often. I always feel badly because I add back story details repeatedly to many of my posts and am afraid others get bored. I add mostly because many readers haven't read older posts of mine and many are new so what they are reading is a first about us. Yes better than writing "see Dollie play."
I also feel if others don't care for the facts they are not forced to read any back story info.
As for us, our crappy internet means we can't watch videos so your explaining the video was almost as good as watching. Aren't you glad you and you wife watched?
