I’ve been living in a loose relationship with my best friend for many years. We used to go out together for swimming and sauna a lot when we were younger. Now that she has gained a few grams, she’s rather reluctant and would accompany me only sporadically a few times a year or when we are on holiday. I keep telling her that I like her curves but you all know how (hyper)critical women can sometimes be with their own bodies.
Anyways, the last time we went together, we took a break in an outdoor area adjoined to the sauna floor. We found ourselves some sun loungers and lay down. After a while we noticed that a guy standing nearby couldn’t take his eyes off her. He was remaining his distance but kept looking at her nonstop. She seemed a bit puzzled at first, but eventually didn’t cover her body with her towel; so I knew it was at least “ok” with her. On our way home I remarked that she didn’t seem too uncomfortable with the guy sneaking peeks at her goodies. She hesitantly confirmed and explained that it’s not even so much the guys who make her feel uncomfortable but much more the other women sceptically eyeballing one another. I understand her point in this respect; men seem to appreciate what they get offered, while women often tend to compare themselves to others when being in the spa. So if your wife has got no problem getting nude with other women, your chances seem ok that she will enjoy herself in a mixed sauna too.
Regarding the statement above (about the differences between German and Dutch saunas) I can only partly agree. If you go to Spas in Germany that have the entire textile-free floor, you do see a lot of skin outside the actual sauna rooms (hot tubs, relaxation areas, showers, tanning beds etc.). The number of girls who have their pubic area completely shaved has distinctly increased over the last years and is more or less balanced out to those keeping a landing strip nowadays.
Recently, I've even met several women in their 50s+ with completely shaven pussies.
