Working in the consular section of the American Embassy in the early '80s, we used to take our wives and female consular officers with us when we went to the strip bars in Ermita. We called it doing "field research" as familiarity with bar girl scene was helpful for us when doing visa interviews. A good time was had by all and the wives could satisfy their curiosity about what went on in the bars.
