After that incident with the sprained ankle, I thought Simone would be embarrassed if it was brought up or talked about, so at first I never mentioned it. But then I found that she would bring it up herself or refer to it, and that she would talk about her body more freely when I was around. It made for an interesting summer. For example...
I was in the living room with my girlfriend when Simone walked in wearing a tight t-shirt and shorts. She asks my girlfriend (and I guess by default me) 'can you tell I'm not wearing a bra?'. I play it safe and stay quiet and my girlfriend says (jokingly) 'I don't know, you gotta shake them around a little!'. Simone obliges and does a little shaking, while laughing and playing it up and then her mother says, 'heck yeah, we can tell!'

Another time, similarly, we are sitting together and she comes out in a t-shirt and pair of silver leggings and says 'Can you see my camel toe in these leggings?' This time I ask, 'what's a camel toe?' and her mother and her look at me like I'm an idiot but I just want to hear her answer. Simone says, 'it's when you wear clothes that are too tight and you can basically guess how their vagina looks'. Her mother says, 'if you're worried about it, you shouldn't wear them'. I say, to mess with her a little, 'yes, I can see it'. She takes me seriously and starts adjusting her leggings, and then asks again and we reassure her that no, we can't but only after taking a look at her crotch.
