Naked woman takes truck, crashes and burns in Athens

A woman stole a Madison County man’s pickup truck early Tuesday morning and then drove naked into Athens, where she crashed it into two vehicles....

One witness was asleep on his couch on Norwood Circle when he was awakened by the crashes. When he went out to investigate he saw a naked woman driving a pickup truck, police said....

After crashing into the vehicles on Norwood Circle, Griever drove to Athena Drive where she crashed into a ditch and the stolen truck caught afire, police said.
The fire was extinguished by members of the Athens-Clarke County Fire and Emergency Services Department.
The truck was unoccupied when police arrived, but one officer heard the faint voice of a woman asking for help, according to police.
