I have one friend that I grew up with that got one of those kinds of jobs.
"Tina" was one of my best friends, Philippine-American, and we were like sisters. At about the time I went to one city for college, she went to another. And for financial reasons we both ended up dropping out at about the same time. But I moved back home, she stayed where she was, and about 6 months later resumed her classes.
I went to visit her about a year later, planned on just a weekend but turned out to be for 5 days because of car problems. On Monday she told me she had to go to work, but that I could borrow her car as long as I dropped her off and picked her up in the evening. She told me she was working as a receptionist at a medical office.
So I dropped her off, saw a movie, and did a few other things. I got to the clinic early so settled in to wait and read a book in the car. Well, I glanced up and saw Tina leaving a business on the other end of the strip mall. Not the medical clinic, but a massage parlor.
Well, she looked nervous when she realized I had seen her leave her real job, and when we got home over a couple of bottles of wine I found out the truth. She did not want to return home after she had to quit school, so after a couple of weeks looking answered an ad looking for "Asian Girls - training provided". And they taught her all she needed to know, including the "happy endings" part (although she already knew how to do that).
She had been doing it for about 2 years by that point, and it was paying for her college, as well as letting her save some money for after graduation. And I believe her when she says about half of her customers are straight massages, and for the others handjobs and occasional tittyfucks are enough. I even googled the place a few days after I got home, and the reviews on places like RubMaps all say pretty much what she said. Mostly straight-forward massage, tugjobs are about all you can expect and only after 2 or 3 visits.
I have thought of visiting her sometime and not letting her know, and reserving an appointment for a massage. To bad I know she is 100% straight, so a massage is all I would get. In our drunken evening she admitted a couple of her regulars are females, but she only gives them straight massages.
