My personal feeling would be to steer clear of this. I wouldn't go into anything like that with any kind of significant reservation. You need to think about this, your motivations, why you are concerned, and deal with your reservations before you pull the trigger on anything. You also need to have some set of understood expectations with your wife as to where things might go before you get into it.
