My wife sang the part of Salome back in the eighties. She did this on stage in Bordeaux and being French they required her to dance the famous dance of The Seven Veils. She was a bit reluctant but agreed to do it in the end and ended up quite naked on the stage. She tells me that it is both frightening and exciting to be on stage naked, especially when you are the only naked person there and your audience is shocked by your nakedness.
