I'm a photographer and the light I got there was exactly what I was intending. I prefer photographs that show and are lit just well enough to make you want to see more. The human body is beautiful when shown in such a way that highlights its strengths and not its weaknesses.
Not that better or different light makes my wife unattractive, on the contrary, but in these shots it was by design. And if it made you want to see more, then they did their job.
