I know the question was posed quite a while ago regarding how to download videos from sites like xHamster, but the question might still be relevant.
The way I do it is to use Firefox and download an add-on called Flash Video Downloader - the one with the blue downward pointing arrow as it's icon. There are other add-ons that do the same thing, but I've never needed to use them as FVD works a treat.
Once it's installed, whenever a page has downloadable Flash content the icon in the Firefox URL bar changes from one with a red X on it to the blue version, and when you click on the icon you're presented with all downloadable content that is on the page, even if there's not actually a "Download me" button present. The only point to note is that you have to start the video playing before it's "seen" by FVD. Choose the video datastream (normally the largest file listed) and the file is saved to the Downloads directory.
You can move on to other web pages as the download is done in the background. If you watch the whole video and the file is small enough FVD often uses the cached file to save to Downloads rather than downloading it again.
I can't help with Chrome or IE as I don't use these browsers.
