Agree. Back then women's underwear enhanced the female natural curves, making them look even more attractive.
Nowadays, they only seem to sell underwear that suits good only to the girls that are very skinny -too skinny for my taste. There are some exceptions, like sexy boyshorts but in general I don't like modern female underwear that much.
To me, it seems that in those times women's underwear was actually designed to make the woman look curvier, thus looking more desireable for most men -I'm saying this guessing that most of us hetero males prefer curvy women. In fact, if you look at a naturally skinny girl wearing high cut panties she will look a bit curvy to you. It's a nice effect that those undies managed to make.
Nowadays undies seem to seek to create the exact opposite; to make girls look skinnier. I believe that it's due the stupid modern idea of female 'ideal' body.
Moreover, I've discussed this with some women I know and all them have told me that 80's and 90's underwear was much more comfortable to wear.
