I think, for me, the most important thing is to be passionate about what you write. If you like deep, emotional connections, fine. If you prefer shallow, hardcore action, also fine. There's an audience for both! If you try to write in a style that you don't enjoy or attempt to please someone else, it'll probably show. Then, no one is truly pleased with the outcome.

Although, grammar and spelling are universal deal breakers! Writing lk ur typin a txt msg is greatest sin of them all, and I've seen it happen with increasing frequency. Bah, kids these days... Get off my lawn!

Anyway, I don't think my writing style earns me a lot of fans, but I'm generally pretty happy with it. Just not enough hours in the day and a lot of responsibilities!
