Yep, the old date stamps on bordered prints from way back when. Then, the popularity of borderless prints came along and those went away. Some of the Kodak printers of that period would imprint a date on the back of the prints, but not all photofinishing companies used those so it was hard to pinpoint when a print was made. Silk finish was also really popular, it fingerprinted less and covered a multitude of photofinishing flaws.
