Woman arrested after report she was intoxicated, naked in a field

A Dewey woman was arrested Friday for allegedly being intoxicated and naked in a field.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 46-year-old Shelly Dawn Williams on Dec. 20 on charges of intoxication, obstructing an officer and outraging public decency.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Washington County District Court, around 12:42 a.m. deputies responded to a call of a domestic in progress at a trailer in the 13600 block of U.S. Highway 75. Deputies say they found Williams, “completely naked inside a recreational vehicle.”

A witness reportedly told authorities that problems began when Williams smoked some marijuana and “ran east out of the residence completely naked.” ...

When asked why she had been “running around naked,” she reportedly said, “I don’t know, but it was funny wasn’t it?”
