Topless donut shoppe
We used to have a donut shop here in Ft. Lauderdale, that had topless waitresses. It was an old Burger King rest that the owner updated with an 'S like' counter. Most of the servers were strippers, working either their day off or a morning shift here and night shift at a club. The owner was a nice old guy from up north who folks for/against the restaurant all said was a great guy and treated the girls with a lot of respect. When he passed away, he left the business to family, but no one wanted to move south and no one wanted to operate it from a distance. So it closed.
Not far from there was a topless car wash. Same idea. Off duty strippers washing cars. It was set up on an old gas station property. A large metal structure was erected (pardon the pun) and large blue tarps were hung to provide privacy (as it was located on US-1). Drive your car in, they close the tarp and remove their tops. A car wash would take about 15 min. I spoke to the owner on occasion. He told me it was not a long term thing. He takes the idea around to major cities and operates it until the novelty wears off then moves on.
