I got a friendly smile from the short auburn haired female bartender who I was surprised recognized me from over a month ago. An Amaretto and sprite appeared before me without me ordering it.
When I was here last, I thanked her for her service and tipped her very well.
She looked at me puzzled when she saw the tip. "I don't want you misunderstanding me.." she began.
"Oh" I interrupted, "I don't want to be misunderstood. I'm not hitting on you, just thanking a fellow military veteran who obviously served in combat."
That really got her attention.
