Hi,
I'm assuming by girdle you mean the garment bottoms. The Garments were designed in the 1840's around the style of underwear worn at the time. Times may have changed, but the Garments not so much. The symbol must be on the knee to remind the girl to kneel and . . . pray. There for a knee length garment.
The question we should be asking is why are the old men in the Mormon church are so interested in what the young women of the church are wearing?
There can be only one reason. Because they too have a fetish for women wearing super sexy silky girdles and silky tops.
Until recently the local leader of the church group would interview the women alone in his office with very specific questions about "How often do you wear your Garments? Are you wearing them now?" and even more personal. (Truthfully)
Also, though it's now been changed for some time, during certain meetings a man in the group would bless the young women's Garments in certain spots. One spot was on the knee, again as a reminder to be prayerful. This lucky man was not chosen at random or the highest ranking, or anything like that, it was always always the oldest man in the room, would get to touch all the young women, here and there. (Truthfully)
"It's good to be the king!"
I could go off about the pantyhose and garments. . . but perhaps later. The Garment is worn closest to the skin.
If not you get spanked.
