first few shots are from a performance called '23 Skidoo' held for the 110th anniversary of the Flatiron building in NYC in June last year ....
Kicking off 23 Skidoo, 50 dancers kicked-up their skirts (exposing their Hanky Panky panties) to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Flatiron building. This “Flatiron Flashmobseque” choreographed by Shandoah Goldman, was inspired by the historical legend which coined the term, “23 Skidoo.” It is said that during the first decades of the twentieth century, the ship-like shape of the Flatiron building carved a windy slice in the New York skyline, which would blow women’s dresses up, exposing seldom seen legs and causing men to loiter and watch. Local authorities would say “23 Skidoo” to the men, which meant they better stop their gazing and get out while the getting was good.
