To answer your questions, my other children were all boys so the answer would be, not necessarily. My boys have brown hair and brown eyes. Our daughter has blond hair and blue eyes. The boys have joked about our surprise, but they love her and dote on her. The boys were not aware of their dad's vasectomy, so we've been able to avoid that unpleasant conversation.
Our little girl is such a joy in our lives, that we are actually thankful that our teasing and flirting got out of control. As much as I regretted it at the time, has come back as a wonderful gift many times over.
