Not a particularly great update, but thought I'd share while the story is back on top of the page - it turns out the Asian girl is an artist, who wrote a brief blog post about participating in the event. She seems to have been quite surprised, and maybe a tiny bit embarrassed, about the amount of media coverage the event received (remove X's):

(Also mildly interesting, if you follow these sorts of things, is that she made friends with the other woman in the picture on the day.
