What provided that exceptional opportunity to pick and choose great street shots at the start of the ride, was the fact that the organizers moved the riders into the street and then held them in place for 15 or twenty minutes. Because the street is divided with opposite directions on two levels, the riders had to come out of the park and go right for about a block before reaching a traffic light and making a left turn to go in their intended southbound direction on the upper level. In some of the pictures you can see riders in the background climbing the divider to avoid the wait. I did see a number of nude female riders making that climb, and so the photogs on the lower level missed them completely.
