Just to update:
The official route for Sunday's Philly WNBR has been released, and the starting point is Penns Landing Park on the waterfront along the Delaware River, near the Sugar House Casino. That spot is only about a mile from the Piazza where the ride will end, and several miles from the Faimount Park area, where the ride has started in past years.
The official route covers about ten miles, and is expected to take about three hours to complete. Painting and assembly begins at 2-pm, and the ride starts at 4-pm.
Full turn by turn directions are available on the Philly WNBR twitter feed, and more information is on the website and Facebook.
It should be a good ride. Skies are predicted to be clear and sunny, with temperatures around 80-F or about 30-C. Just right for a ride in the raw through a major American city. And judging by the twitter promises there should be many young lovelies pedaling away.
