In HS I was the kid who drew all the artwork for the school newpapaer and yearboook., not really that good, but good enough for HS. After graduation 2 of the pretty young teachers asked my if i'd illustrate a childrens book they were working on that summer. Sure, sounded like good experience and I did say they were young and pretty.
They were also roommates and lived in an apartment complex, we did a lot of work sitting out by the pool drinking beer, I had my sketchpad and would create characters for them. Since we were now colleages they stopped being Miss Jones and Miss Smith and became Bev and Susan. Anyway one afternoon Bev went inside since it was getting very warm, Susan and I worked and drank beer, 18 was legal back then, until I had to go take a leak.
