[Klondike]

At first, I thought of naming this thread "Klondike's sunny and hot Seattle Pride 2013" but then thought otherwise, figuring others might also want to contribute pics, something that I would definitely encourage..

OK, I just got back from the northland and had a blast at last Sundays Seattle Pride parade. While not in the same category as Fremont nakedwise (pics of which still dominate Flickr when you search on "Seattle" and "naked"), the Pride parade will probably become a yearly event for me as long as the weather is good which it was this year. So exactly what does "good weather" do for the Seattle Pride Parade? Well, consider this - last year I counted under 10 topless women the entire day. This year, with abundant sunshine and heat, there were probably over 100 topless girls. Why there was such a dramatic difference is, IMHO, related to the fact that the parade ends at the Seattle fountain where folks love to go skinny dipping when its hot. And so this is why I had such a blast Sunday - the Seattle fountain was THE place to be that day in the city as my pics will soon show you.

Otherwise, here is my brief report: The Pride Parade always seems to consist mainly of endless groups of T-shirt wearing gay people, marching in solidarity and chanting slogans. Pretty boring stuff, really. So, to watch the parade itself has never proven to be all that fruitful for a camera guy looking for "a little more"..However, after the parade, and with the help of the fountain, photo ops are more likely, and that was certainly the case this year. Of particular note was the appearance of the Body Pride Riders around 2PM. This is the only full nudity to be found for the most part on pride day. These guys (and 2 girls - the same ones every year) went straight from their bikes into the fountain area naked, and I got some pretty good pics here. Oh, wait a minute - check that: One of the girls dressed and didn't go in, so only one went in nude. HOwever, she was soon joined by a beautiful, fully nude girl who seemed to just strip on the spur of the moment, having gotten caught up in the spirit of things. This is the best thing about the Body Pride Ride itself - that although riders are few in number, they can inspire others to get naked and join them after the parade. Now I was hoping that this year, with all the sunshine and all, more Body Priders would actually ride. But this didn't happen though which is a shame - someone really needs to give this group a shot in the arm. Anyway, but at least we had this one fully nude chick join them in the fountain - a non rider who just stripped for the fun of it. I got many shots of this girl from behind, but only one or two from the front unfortunately. So, one thing I would love to see is more pics of this particular girl, especially from the front. Once again, it will be reward time for me if anyone that can produce pics. Other than the two predicable Body Pride Riders that we see year after year, she was the only other fully nude female that I saw on Sunday.

But anyway, the parade afterparty lasts from noon to 8PM, and this year it remained hot all day. So, the fountain area was awesome for hours - seldom was there not at least one or two topless girls in there getting wet. it was fun to shoot this from long range, and all that dancing and frolicking around that they did made this years afterparty a real blast. I took hundreds of pics but they will go up slowly because I have a lot of things to do right now. But I will try to get some up pretty soon and I encourage others to look for pics. And really, ANY full nudity at this years event OUTSIDE of the two Body Pride ride girls, will get rewards from me.
