I think there were advance ticket sales to 801, but my memory is bad, and not just from alcohol. It's a big venue, and pretty crowded; I don't think you'll get shut out.
Kelly's tickets were also available in advance, as were tickets to the party at the Bourbon St Pub.
You can always stick your head in and ask as you pass by doing the Duval Crawl.
