And yeah! We are off back to Brasil (SP) later this year for a three year job. Me to work as a consulting geodesist (and do some sound and lighting production at the theatre in my spare time) and my wife is going to try out with Teatro Oficina for the chorus line. (3years in Brasil - Teatro Oficina, 2014 World Cup, 2016 Olympics – Triple Bonus).

And good news for all you Uzyna Uzona enthusiasts. When we arrive I have been told I can get copies of DVD’s of all performances (Os Sertoes, Bacantes, Cacilda, Taniko, Banquete and Macumba). And access to tapes of some productions which were not on DVD’s as well. So will be able to put up links to some more pecas of each production. Any requests for any particular scenes?

My wife is a singer/dancer from Thailand and has a resemblance to some of the local indigenous Amazon people. Whilst in the Manaus backlands at an Indian village the local girls dressed (undressed) her like them (except for depiliating her pubic hair) including make-up and feathers and she fooled all the foreign visitors. In fact, wherever we go in South America she is addressed as a local. So she is working on improving her Portuguese, especially as she wants to get into Brasilian theatre.

Initially she will try out as a chorus dancer but later, depending on her suitability and which productions Ze Celso stages, she may, looking very Indias Amazonas, get a specialist role.

There are no current plans to restage the explicit Os Sertoes, Cacilda!! or Bacantes plays with their group nudity, masturbation, sex and copulation, so they will be only singing/dancing roles. With the usual attendant nudity of course. However, if Ze Celso comes up with some more orgiastic production later she wants to try for a more explict role.

Of course if she scored a really explicit role which required copulation, then, unlike Anna Guilhermina who was made pregnant by her male co-star during the 2003 Os Sertoes productions, she will be taking contraceptive precautions. That means oral contraceptives as it would obviously spoil the whole atmosphere of the play if people were stopping to put on condoms. She says no problem with an actor “planting his seed” if required in the name of art in live theatre on stage or in the cinema but she is too old to be having more babies and now for her sex is for pleasure, exercise, recreation, therapy and of course art.
