Hi guys,
I just got back from Seattle and my pics are getting uploaded to my hard drive as i speak. thats about 1000 pics BTW. Some will blow your socks off!
Anyway, here's how my day went. First - the weather was outstanding! This made for some great photo ops at Gasworks Park in particular. Gasworks was amazing - a sea of bodies all spread out over the grassy areas and hills. Because of the weather, nudes lingered for hours. I've never had so much fun at Gasworks Park as usually, things tone down rather quickly. But several things added up to make this year really awesome. First, the riders rode all the way to the east entrance to Gasworks rather than entering from the west. And so they all entered near the concessions, stage and restroom areas. There was naked dancing to music, food stands with naked babes standing in line, a beer garden with naked jump rope. None of this have I witnessed at previous Fremont Parades! And maybe best of all, I would estimate that as many as 1000 rode! I'm not a great estimator of crowds, but I think this was the biggest ride ever.
I actually started the day out not planning to take a lot of pics. But I ended up with about 1000, all at the end of the ride and at Gasworks. I did attend the pre-ride, but didn't snap pics. Pre-ride was tightly controlled, and 90% of the riders assembled in a gated area restricted to entry. So this was a departure from previous years and made snapping difficult. You could see through the fence, and I was amazed at the throng but I could not walk amongst it.
It was frustrating. HOwever, you could watch everyone depart as they all walked out en masse with their bikes. It was a pretty amazing spectacle with, like I said, maybe upwards to 1000 riders. I should have been snapping here, but my camera was in the car. Belatedly, I tried to get back to my car, but was blocked by riders and had to dash amongst them, frantically trying to cross the street. When I did finally get my camera out, Most of the riders had passed and I only got about a dozen pics.
No matter - Gasworks was amazing. I think they chose to go all the way to the east entrance to avoid the bottleneck at the "Y" where photogs always hang out. This threw me for a loop, but I soon caught on to their trickery

Anyway, the rest is history - so many girls, so much naked flesh. And with lots of area to spread out in - the photographer presence really seemed pretty light. As always, lots of exhibitionists were posing, and with the music, bodies were gyrating. We also had frisbee, hula hooping, jump rope, gymnastics - wish I could have caught it all but with young naked girls, you never know what to expect!! BLESS THEM ALL YESTERDAY - what a great day and I hope my pics can convey to you what a sheer delight it was to have witnessed it all. Today, the weather returned to gloom and rain, and we just lucked out with the sunshine. It might not happen like this again for another 10 years!
some pics to follow shortly, but it will take time to get a lot up -
