This is a bit nerdy, but it will work.

Please download the linux-mint iso file from this page: http://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=133 Please select the appropriate country to speed up the download process.

This will allow you to create a linux bootable DVD or USB stick.

Please see this from Microsoft on how to burn a bootable DVD from an iso file: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...om-an-iso-file

Once you burn the disk, test it on your own computer.

On most computers, press the F12 key repeatedly as the computer starts up, to select starting from the DVD drive.
The DVD will take a while to start up. Don't worry about all the gibberish!

Once it starts up, double click on the "Computer" icon on the desktop.

Select the Hard disk, then navigate to Users, etc ...

Locate the pictures.

Insert a usb stick into the usb slot. An icon for it will appear on the desktop. Drag the pictures you want into it.

When you're done, right-click on the USB icon and eject it.

Press the power button, the computer will shut down and eject the DVD.
