you can check the wiki WNBR site - they would have the date. But I was under the impression that it has already taken place, and that we might even have a few pics up from it already.

Also, I was going to expand on the "serious photographer" phenomena, and how it seems to be affecting what is going up in this thread this year. The "serious photographer" phenomena applies to WNBR big time because most of the rides tend to be held on the same day. This phenomena states basically that the lesser rides will fall into the backwater pic-wise as the major rides suck up the more discerning, talented, and mobile photographers. This seems to have happened this year especially. I did not attend the Eugene, OR ride for example this year although I would have liked to because I was in Portland. Etc, etc...

So, now although I have been honoring the UK snappers in previous posts, deservingly so - I now want to see pics from the lesser rides!! heh, heh.....

The publicity aspect of the WNBR is fascinating. They hold them all on the same day more or less, but over the years, snappers gravitate more and more to the major rides. It would be interesting to compare the distribution of pics by city going up in threads here from 2006, for example and 2013. There have been big changes. Conrad Schmitt would like every ride to get at least SOME publicity. Maybe you have to go to local news websites to find stuff as locally at any rate, lesser rides can still be big news. But at OCC now, which is today a relative fat cat, are we passing over the lesser rides because we've gotten too discerning?
