I know a lot of people are complaining about the new flickr format. I just wanted to share a helpful hint.
While flickr changed their layout, their API is identical. This means that if you find a good third party flickr image reader, you can browse, save and export pictures in that program.
I've been using
Flickstackr on my ipad to find images, when I see one I like I just click save and it puts it into my images app. When I want to export the images, I just plug into my Mac and everything is downloaded into Aperture. Easy Peasy.
The only hitch is with protected images, and to get those I simply favorite them, load up my flickr account and open Chrome's Developer tools. Under the Resources tab there is a link to an unprotected image.
