Thanks for you for your suggestion for using WebM. As someone who is usually very lazy about these sort of things. I thought I'd give it a try as I was running out of HD space. True to your word there was no loss of quality and there was a big saving in way of space used. This is a big plus as I will be using this format to save my clips. For those who are interested I used the firefox browser with the Firefrogg app. Piece of P*ss as we say in Blighty
