Based several threads in the Yahoo slavebikinibuilders group, the consensus among the makers and wearers is that only the very exhibitionistic or the very foolish wear the slave bikini commando like the well know newscaster photo. The preferred solution is to attach a strip of fabric to the front and rear skirt panels to create a built in thong. This is what most of the seemingly pantiless Leias are actually wearing and you can sometimes se a glimpse like the girl with the Pixie haircut on the floor in some of the group photos and the last of Marquis MD's pix on page 9 where you can see a spot of white between her legs. Those with less confidence in their costumes wear thongs or g-strings with clear straps or totally wimp out with bikinis.
