These days probably 10-20% of the pics I upload here have been grabbed. On the Mac, grabs are tiff files, so I just convert them to jpegs in preview.

Firefox has an add-on called Flashgot. In addition to letting you download and save virtually any type of video, it also lets you, for example, take every picture on a page of thumbnails (including some of the quirkier sites that try to make you jump through a bunch of hoops, like imagefap and bayimg).

It also lets you snag disabled stuff from flickr. Here's how: right-click on the image and choose the largest size. Highlight the picture by left-clicking while moving the mouse over the picture. Right-click the selected picture and choose 'Flashgot selection.' A download box pops up and you click 'start' or hit 'enter'.

It's really easy!
