I've spent money on the sites; I've talked to producers by e-mail and the above is a brief summary of what I've been told.
I would love to hear some of our members who are producers give their thoughts. My conversations were about 18 months ago - maybe things have changed.

i can 100% confirm that this economy is helping my recruiting. no jobs = women doing something they might not normally do for money

also, the fact that a lot of porn is free, does hurt some sites, but if you have exclusive content, people will still take out their wallets to see something they can't find on the net very easily. my numbers have steadily gone up since i started in 2009
