They were all students doing some sort of media or fashion course. I was living in the area at the time and there was a bit of a fuss about it because the students claimed that they weren't aware that the nude pictures would be published (shades of PorXtsmouth perhaps) though what they thought would happen to those pictures wasn't made clear. This actually struck me as more of a publicity stunt since they took their tale of woe to the local newspaper which duly published some pictures and gave details of where more could be found.
