That's an easy one! If all they did was a negative effect, simply re-apply the negative effect the the area. Essentially, it will be a "negative negative" which will make the area positive.
Feel free to post blurs on here. I'm quite good at fixing some of them up. In some cases, I've been able to restore images completely.
What I can't always fix: solid black bars over the faces, heavy smearing, etc.
What I usually can fix: Pixelization (light), faded censors (not completely solid), negative covers (or variations of them).
One important note. Alex has asked me not to post fixes of original material here. For example, if you upload pictures of your wife, and they are censored, he would prefer me not to fix it and post it again here. So, if you actually DO want me to fix a picture of your wife, you will need to say so. I wish I could share some of the ones I've done, because they are remarkable. In some cases you can't even tell they were censored at all. But I will repsect his request and only fix unoriginal images.
